Uno City in Vienna was officially opened in 1979 after six years of construction. Even then, provisions were made for cleaning the façade and façade access systems were installed on all roofs. The architect intended for the technical floors and all technical installations to be highlighted with an orange colour. The access systems were therefore also supplied in an orange colour.

Klik Bühnensysteme was entrusted with the delivery of 7 access systems to the latest safety standard. The scope of work included the replacement of all 7 systems. Due to the local conditions with underground car parks and 7 buildings with different heights, a concept was chosen which provided for the use of a helicopter to lift the systems. Heli Austria GmbH was recruited as a professional and experienced partner for this lift. The scope of work also included the renewal of a car park and the revision of all guide rails. The façade guides, on the other hand, did not have to be replaced and could be reused for the new facade gondolas.

The systems supplied are concrete runway systems with double mast booms and gondolas, which are connected to the façade via a façade guide. The booms were designed to be foldable in two to save space and facilitate parking in the garages. The customer’s request for electric manoeuvrability of the roof trolley to enable access to the parking garages without effort was also met.
